Trekking in Kurinajal
At 1894.3 m, Kurinajal peak is almost of the same height as Kudremukh, which is located 20 km away.The landscape of Kurinajal is formed of hilly forests predominantly of evergreen and semi-ever green types. The area is rich with amazing indian wildlife both flora and fauna. One can spot wild bisons here. Also, you can find an abandoned UHF receiver station at the top. The view from the peak is breathtaking and worth the trek.

How to Reach
Bangalore - Kudremukh - Bhagvati Check Post - Kurinajal
There are two paths that lead you to this trekking destination. The first route takes you via the jeep track. The second trail leads you through tropical wet evergreen forests that are typical of Western Ghats.
Buses regularly ply between Bangalore and Kudremukh. Board a bus going towards Kundremukh, and hit the roads. Get down at Kudremukh colony, right after the Bhagvati forest check post, and from here you can travel in a jeep to reach your destination. The second trekking route starts from the village called Mala.

Bhagavati Nature Camp: A place you must visit if you want to dwell for some time in the lap of nature. Camping here gives the feeling of being one with the verdant and pristine natural surroundings. Bhadra Stream runs through the camping area.
Hanman Gundi: Well known for its cascading waterfalls, Hanman Gundi is a tranquility lovers delight. One is spell-bound seeing the rush of murmuring water, and its magnificent descend from a height of more than 100 feet on the natural rocks.
Kudremukh: Lush green rain forests, grassy slopes, meandering rivers, rare orchids, and more make this place a trekkers paradise. Kudremukh peak, which means horse-face hill, stands tall at 6,214 ft above sea level in Malnad. On a clear bright sunny day, one can see the blue-edge of the Arabian Sea from the summit.
Advisory
Since Kurinajal Peak area is part of Kudremukh National Park, staying and camping in the area is not allowed without prior permission. Take a prior entry permit for trekking here from the Range Officers or Deputy Conservator of Forests.
