Marina Beach

Fort St. George

History of India with the British is a fact that can't be changed. And the live example standing in front is Fort St. George. During British rule, it was made as a centre point for official purposes but now encompasses St. George museum with paintings, coins, silverware, arms, porcelain, and documents.

Attraction: It has given space to historic monuments of St. Mary's church under its cloud. The Flagstaff at the Fort is one of the tallest structure in the country.

Elliot’s Beach

Though a less crowded beach than Marina, Eliot has its own catch. Now named at Besant Nagar Beach, it attracts people because of the serene beauty and clean brown sands.

Attractions: The Schmidt Memorial is a huge draw of Elliott Beach which was built in remembrance of a Dutch sailor, Karl Schmidt. This white built-up has given an extra tip to the beach for recognition.

Ashtalaxmi Temple

Dakshina Chitra

Also known by the term ‘Living-history museum', the museum is built in order to explain the historical aspects of Tamil culture to the present generation. Built in an area of 10 acres, DakshinaChitra is a small village has been recreated using replicas of traditional South Indian houses dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries.

The exhibition has a plethora of living beliefs of art, folk performing arts, craft, and architecture of India and in particular of South Indian traditions. From a typical Tamil house to basic utensils, a fisherman's life to various fabrics is all depicted in the museum. Regular events of classical dances and musical concerts also take place to attract the tourists.

Guindy National Park and Snake Park

Valluvar Kottam

Chennai’s love for literature & culture is evident in this monument dedicated to the great Tamil saint, philosopher, and writer Tiruvalluvar. This monument, created by 3000 stone blocks, is in the shape of a chariot. Crocodile Bank

Started as a research station and conservation centre, the bank is first in Asia for crocodile breeding. The Crocodile Bank even houses alligators, gharials, muggers,  snakes, sea turtles and water birds in its premises.

In all, there are around 2500 creatures within the boundaries of the Bank and one can spot crocs as well as gharials basking themselves on the edge of the water body during the day. Overall experience was good. Few improvements can be made. Q 1. Swimming pool was under maintenance. 2. Food quality can be improved. Dishes and varieties are ok. 3. Cricket net can be given. Since it is open and marshy land nearby we loose the balls quiet often.
This was an incredibly well organized and amazing tour! Booking was so easy and the communication with the Thrillophilia team when setting up the tour was prompt and polite. The price was also very reasonable considering you are completely taken care of from the minute you are picked up to when you are dropped off.
Simply great! everything was there before you could ask for. the level of their hospitality and more importantly the presentation of everything was amazing. Thrillophilia made this trip worth the money paid. Keep up the good work, I would love to come back with them sometime again.
