Rajmachi And Kondana Caves Trek From Mumbai Overview

About 65 km from Pune and 80 km from Mumbai, resting in the lap of Sahyadri mountains is Lonavala—one of the most spectacular hill stations near Mumbai. Wearing a cloak of serenity and mostly covered with a layer of mist during monsoon, this little hill town has been a perfect hideaway for mountains and monsoons lovers. There are many places to visit in Lonavala in the rainy season for all those who want to experience the season of love and romance in the beautiful Western Ghats. All of them have different things to offer and are great spots for a day tour from Mumbai and Pune.

Rajmachi Fort is an historical forts have two stronghold forts, Forts of Rajmachi are Shrivardhan and Manaranjan. Iti is a famous spot for trekking in popular Lonavala Hill Stations. Lonavala to Rajmachi Fort is 16 km trekking distance from Lonavala there are many routes to reach Rajmachi Fort. We will be camping at Udhewadi Village located below the two Balekilla. you can see the beautiful kataldhar waterfall from Shrivardhan Fort.

Rajmachi And Kondana Caves Trek From Mumbai Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Saturday

    15:15 Meet at Café Goodluck (Goodluck chowk)

    The Pickup points will be as follow:

    Shivaji Nagar, Bremen Chowk and Wakad

    17:15 Reach the starting point of trek.

    19:00 Start Trek towards the base village - 8 km trek.

    22:30 Reach Base Village.

    21:30 Dinner.

    22:30 Take rest

  • Day 2 - Sunday

    06:30 Wake up and freshen up

    07:00 Breakfast.

    07:30 Start ascending Shrivardhan Fort.

    08:30 Reach on top. Explore the fort and watch the sunrise.

    09:30 Start descending.

    10:30 Reach at base village.

    Visit Udaysagar lake and temple.

    12:00 Lunch.

    13:00 Start descending towards Karjat side.

    Visit Kondhane Caves.

    17:30 Reach Kondhane village and Trek ends here.

    18:30 Start the journey back to Pune

    Properly arranged tour, our driver was nice and professional, the base village is beautiful and the accommodation there was nice and clean, throughout the tour they served us with freshly made foods, our guide was amazing and made sure that we are comfortable and got in the main spot on time, really the service was excellent and helps us in clicking photograph... the place was gorgeous and really felt so lucky to witness it... I would highly recommend this experience
