Irshalgad Trek From Pune Overview

Get enthralled and revel in the wonders of all that this fort is well known and visited for! ‘Irshal’ means a pinnacle and ‘gad’ means a fort. Hardly found anywhere in History, Irshalgad may have been under the Maratha rule when Shivaji Maharaj captured the regions of Kalyan and Bhiwandi. The Irshalgad Fort has been visited by very few history lovers and is a favourite for trekkers, adventurers, and nature photographers as well.

Chowk-Irshalwadi. Irshalgad pinnacle is accessible by a moderate 2-3-hour trek for the 3.5-km distance. The ascent from the base village to the top of the fort is a zigzag path. Pace yourself on this path and enjoy matchless views over the Morbe reservoir to your right. The trek to Irshalgad fort would be a wonderful experience for beginners. You can easily make your way up through a series of rock cuts.

    05.30 AM - After attendance Depart for Irshalgad. Tea & breakfast on the way.

    08.30 AM - Reach Base Village of Irshalgad

    08.45 AM - After Briefing Start trek towards Irshalgad.

    09.45 AM - Reach Base Village Irshalwadi. Immediately move towards Irshalgad.

    11.30 AM - Reach the top of the Irshalgad, Explorer the Irshalgad Fort.

    12.30 PM - Start Descending Irshalgad Fort.

    01.30 PM - Have lunch in the base village.

    03.00 PM - Start a simple walk towards vehicle.

    04.30 PM - Reach the vehicle, start return journey with happy memories. Tea on the way.

    08.30 PM - Reach SP College, Tilak Road via the same route.
