A stunning Buddhist temple, Wat Chaiwatthanaram is the place to visit if you are interested in learning more about the historical culture of Thailand. Khao Yai is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Thailand. Measuring over 2168 sq km, it is a humungous monsoon forest. Located on the very edge of this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the Khao Yai Bat Caves that are populated by more than 3 million insect-eating bats.

The bats act as a natural pesticide and are thus revered and respected by the locals so much so that it is made a residence by some of the monks while a statue of Buddha stands a silent sentinel. It is located in the Western Part of the Sankamphaeng Mountain Range.

The spectacle of the bats exiting occurs every night and lasts until the last bat exit the cave for its nightly hunt. Do Not Use Flash Photography as it might disturb the bats and their natural sleep cycle.

Lumpini Park is an inner-city haven of tranquillity, fresh air, and shade - offering city dwellers the perfect connection to nature. Named after the birthplace of the Lord Buddha in Nepal, the park is more than half a million square metres big, and the habitat of various flora and fauna.
