Lakes in Nainital

Its name literally translating to ‘The Seven Lakes’, Sattal Lake is a group of seven interconnected freshwater lakes. Nestled in the heart of thick oak and fine forests, Sattal offers a fine insight into the natural beauty of Nainital. Sattal is one of the most popular lakes in Nainital for birdwatching.

Sometimes referred to as the ‘Saritatal’, this jade-green, ice-cool lake lies in the heart of the suburban Nainital.
