One of the most popular weekend getaways near Gurgaon, New Delhi, Noida, and Faridabad, Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is located about 40 km away from the landmark Dhaula Kuan in Delhi. A favourite amongst hikers, nature lovers and bird watching enthusiasts, the bird sanctuary has been declared a National Park by the state government.
While the landscape and natural beauty of the park is incredible, there are measures being taken in order to ensure better sustainability and vegetation. Dotted with lofty trees, the park is home to birds like Acacia Tortilis, Beris, Acacia Nilotica, Neem and more. One can choose from any of the four towers stationed inside the park, meant to make bird watching easier. One of the most underrated tourist places in Gurgaon, the Leisure Valley Park is tucked away in Gurgaon, sector 29. Housing a classic jogging track, garden, sandpit and swings/play area for kids, the park sees a lot of footfall during weekends. The garden carries a quiet little cafe to chill in.
A handful of musical fountains line the garden pathways, along with a fragrant rose garden, splattered with various floral colours. The Leisure Valley Park is popular amongst kids and youngsters alike and is always bustling with people.

A cultural gem concealed within the bounds of Gurgaon, the Museum of Folk and Tribal Arts aims for the preservation and nurturing of India’s folk and tribal artworks. Founded by Mr K.C. Aryan, a celebrated art historian, writer, sculptor and painter, the museum is his legacy for future generations.
Albeit one of the lesser explored tourist places in Gurgaon, it is a must-visit for patrons of culture and heritage. The museum exhibits bronze sculptures, tribal paintings, metal crafts, terracottas, wood crafts and books.

Built in the year 1732 by the Mughal emperor Faujdar Khan, the Farrukhnagar fort is the quintessential Mughal structure, adorned by various designs dating back to the said era. Featuring an octagonal shape, the fort is also home to one of the most distinguished bastions in the country.
The fort was in ruins up until 2009, when some reconstruction was done to it by INTACH. Dubbed as the Dilli Darwaza, the fort is believed to have been home to over 4,000 people! One of the most popular tourist places in Gurgaon, a visit to the Farrukhnagar Fort is almost obligatory for patrons of architecture and designs.
