  11. What should one not do in Delhi?

Here are some handy points to remember while travelling to Delhi:

If you aren’t used to street food, go slow on what you eat there. Although tempting, your body might not respond well instantly to Delhi’s powerful flavours.
Owing to the heavy pollution, you will need to wear a mask while heading out.
Don’t run for a metro as these can be pretty crowded and there’s a risk of getting injured in a packed train. If you’re enjoying a leisurely visit, wait for an emptier train to come by. Avoid travelling by metro in the peak hours.
Be cautious of whom you’re befriending and where you are travelling to.
Always keep your belongings close to you, especially while visiting crowded areas like Chandni Chowk and Palika Bazaar.
  12. Is Delhi safe at night?

If you are travelling as a group, Delhi might seem safe at night. But if you’re travelling as a couple or are a solo woman traveller, moving around in Delhi at night might be a tad bit dangerous. There have been cases of petty thefts and crimes in the recent past, owing to which travelling alone late at night isn’t advisable.

Shops in Old Delhi shuts down by 8 pm and the alleys get lonely and risky. If you happen to venture out later in the day, do your best to travel by the Delhi Metro so that there are a good amount of people around you.
  13. What should I buy in Delhi?

The top items to shop for in Delhi are:

    1. Embroidered handbags - These are handcrafted with lace, pearls, beads, and thread-work and prices range between Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3500, depending upon the craftsmanship.

    2. Silver Handicrafts - From silver tea sets to jewellery and showpieces, every work of silver boasts of fine artisanal work. Prices vary depending upon the amount of silver used and the ongoing rate, but if you’re willing to spend on something exquisite, this is it!

    3. Lac and Glass - The resin-filled glass bangles are some of the best and the vibrant array they are available in will leave you spoilt for choice.

    4. Zardosi - The art of embroidery with gold thread can be found all around Delhi. You can buy these as materials, or full-fledged suits.

    5. Madhubani Paintings - Unique to Delhi, the city’s Madhubani paintings depicting Hindu deities and nature, are some of the finest!

  16. Is it safe to walk around Delhi?

If you are travelling with a group or are a male, Delhi is pretty safe at all hours. However, if you are a couple or a woman solo traveller, you need to be wary of where you are in Delhi and at what hour. Even in the day it is best to travel with a map because the narrow by-lanes can get lonely.

In the evenings, many of the shops shut down for the day, so it is wiser to get back to your hotel or place of accommodation before dark. The Delhi metro though is your safest bet, so instead of walking around alone, you can hop into a metro train to get to your destination sooner and safer.

"It was a nice trip, I loved how beautiful that place was"
"The trip was amazing. Loved the campsite, it's right next to the Parvati river and you feel relaxed just sitting there and absorbing the nature. The organisers were also amazing as they arranged for seperate tents for us and also the transportation provided was very good. The busses were very comfortable and had all the amenities promised. We had the freedom to roam around the city and the guide was well behaved, correct mix of strict and friendly."

Excellent
Being my first solo trip, I was too nervous prior to boarding the bus to Kasol. But man, what a trip. First of all, I encourage all the readers to try going solo at least once especially on the mountains. The experience was overwhelming. I met other people as well in my journey that came via thrillophilia that made my trip pretty interesting. I enjoyed every bit of it. Whether it was on road, at Kasol or the kheerganga trek, I enjoyed every moment. Since it is October, the weather dropped significantly at Kheerganga, which was surprisingly pleasant for me. The trek was pretty hard but my guide helped me reach the destination comfortably. He was a lot friendly too.. I enjoyed the food as well. The best part was the bonfire at kheerganga to loosen us a bit. To sum it up, each and every moment of my trip was something I'd relish for a long, long time and I just can't wait to plan my next trip again. Thanks Thrillophilia. Cheers!

Excellent
I personally loved this trip.. The parvati river and it's shooting sound, natural beauty, and campaign with this, once in a life experience. Kheerganga trekking is my first time for any trekking, but I have enjoyed a lot in the lap of the nature... Obviously don't forget the parvati kund, ohh beauty... Lastly it was a most memorable trip.. Which adopt a sweet spot in my memory, and ringing all time.

Excellent
Kheerganga Trek is the best trek i have ever done. Me and my husband both trusted thrillophilia gateway for treking package. And I must say it's the best treking and camping experience for both of us. We trekked with 20 people's group with 2 guides with us. Both of them was very helpful and supportive. Treking with one guide named (Zorochi Stark) on truecaller was really fun. He was really strict about discipline but he was too funny too. Camping and food was the best at this price. We have done wrong date booking by mistaken I guess. But thanks to thrillophilia team to solve it quick and change our booking date. The way to kheerganga was really challenging as its monsoon so trek was very slippery too. But I found it as great adventure. Loved the trip
