The massive ivory-white structure” renowned as the symbol of unconditional love, was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. This mausoleum, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Often called the “Jewel of Muslim artistry”, this monument is a frequented tourist spot by people, from all the vertices of the earth.

Renowned as “The City Of Victory”, it was founded by the Mughal emperor, Akbar. Exhibiting a fusion of Hindu, Jain and Islamic style of architecture, this city is built using the Red sandstone also called as the “Sikri Sandstone”. 

With 9 gates namely, Chandan Pal Gate, Agra Gate, Tehra Gate, Lal Gate, Delhi Gate, Birbal Gate, Gwalior Gate, Ajmeri Gate, and Chor Gate, one can enter the city. Beautifully built Palace for Akbar’s wife Jahangir Mahal, is one of the remarkable places in Agra. One of the largest mosques in India “The Jama Masjid” is also famed as the, “Friday Mosque”. Beautifully arched gate supported by pillars will bind you in its charm. Built by Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, who dedicated it to his adorable daughter Jahanara Begum exhibits his love for his daughter.

This elegantly built garden facing the Khas Mahal, owns small hexagonal grids of red sandstone, designed in a particular pattern. Surrounded with double-storey sandstone buildings, covered by white-limestone offers spectacular displays.This Bagh is a historical gem of Agra and is frequented by locals as well as tourists.

With the literal meaning “ Garden of the Merciful”, this wonderful garden attracts masses from near and far. Located adjacent to the Soami Bagh, this site holds the samadhi of "Swamiji Maharaj”, who founded Radha Swami. Built with pure white marble, this elegant structure exhibits excellent pictures and, fine pietra dura inlay work on the inner walls. This site has high spiritual as well as historical importance.

One of the oldest monuments to be built in the Mughal dynasty “Humayun’s Mosque”, has Persian inscriptions carved on it. This spectacular artistry of the Mughal period, was used named “Kabul” by the locals and, catering to the religious needs of the Mughals. Built by Nur Jahan, wife of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, this magnificent edifice is located on the eastern bank of Yamuna. Established in memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who was titled as the Itimad-Ud-Daulah, which means “Pillar of the Government. Commonly known as the Baby Taj as it resembles the Iconic “Taj Mahal”. 

The structure is embellished with semi-precious stones and, is arched with greenery all over. Visiting Itimad-Ud-Daulah is one of the best things to do in Agra, as it is less crowded in comparison to other sites

Undoubtedly a perfect place for a shopaholic, as here you can find A to Z items like lehengas, dupattas, salwar kameez, kurtas, sherwanis and what not. As you enter the market you will get awestruck by the colorful outfits, beautifully laced with gold and silver.
