How to Reach:

By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi is a feasible option for travelling to Spiti as it serves both domestic and well as International flights.

By Rail: Another Alternative is New Delhi Railway Station, through which most trains arrive and depart from Delhi and is located in Paharganj, near Connaught Place.

Day 1
Depart from Delhi to Shimla | A Beautiful Town Encapsulated by Magical Misty Hills

Reach Delhi and board a AC Volvo bus to get transferred to Shimla, the capital city of Himachal. As the road winds, watch the scenery shift from plains to rolling hills, unveiling nature's palette. Upon reaching Shimla, check-in to your pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2
Sightseeing in Shimla | Also Referred to as The Queen of the Hills
Shimla

The driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you for Shimla sightseeing tour. You will first visit the Kalibari Temple and offer prayers to Goddess Kali. Next, trek up to the Jakhoo Temple for the panoramic city views followed by a visit to the Christ Church. You will then proceed over to the Ridge Road which lies in the heart of Shimla. In the evening, you will visit the Mall Road. Later, return to your hotel for the night.

Trace the path of the Satluj till Karcham and take a right to reach Chitkul. You can have a delicious meal at the 'Hindustan Ka Akhri Dhaba'. Sarahan to Chitkul Distance: 105 Km | Duration: 4 Hours

Day 5
Chitkul to Kaza via Nako | Explore the 'Ajanta of the Himalayas' at Tabo

Post check-out from your hotel / homestay in Chitkul, meet the driver who will take you to Kaza. On the way, you will pass by the Khab Bridge and later stop at Nako, where you can visit the beautiful Nako Lake. Continue to cross Sumdo and take a right to visit the Gue Monastery, which houses a 500-year-old mummy. You will then head towards Tabo Monastery, known as the ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’. Reach Kaza and have an overnight stay in the hotel.

Chitkul to Kaza Distance: 258 Km | Duration: 7 Hours, 40 Minutes

  • The driver will pick you up from your hotel / homestay in Chitkul and drop you at your pre-booked hotel / homestay in Kaza after en route sightseeing.
Activity: Chitkul to Kaza via Nako | Sightseeing on the Way
  • Leaving for Kaza passing through the beautiful Spiti Valley.
  • En route, you will be taking the Indo-Tibetian Highway and passing through the Khab Bridge which marks the confluence of Spiti and the Satluj River (Khab Sangam)
  • Take a short stopover at Nako Lake and have lunch, after which you will be entering the Spiti Valley right as soon as you cross Sumdo.
  • Just 3 Km after Sumdo, take a detour on the right to visit the 500-Year-Old Mummy at the Gue Monastery in the Gue Village.
  • You will then visit the famous Tabo Monastery, also known as the 'Ajanta of the Himalayas'.
Day 6
Sightseeing Around Kaza | Send out Postcards Stamped at the Top of the World

The driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you on a sightseeing tour around Kaza. Begin by visiting Komik, Asia's highest village. You will then travel down to Hikkim & explore the world's highest post office. Continue to Langza Village and visit the Lang Temple. Next, visit the picturesque Key Monastery & continue towards the charming Kibber Village. Later, visit the Chicham Bridge & return back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kaza.

Kaza to Kalpa Distance: 208 Km | Duration: 5 Hours, 20 Minutes

  • If time permits, do take an hour’s climb above the village to visit the stunning turquoise Dhankar Tso or Dhankar Lake to enjoy stunning views of the valley.

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; it is advisable that you take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

  • Thrillophilia reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like a change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, roadblocks, etc. will not be accommodated in the package cost. No bill will be reimbursed for any missed service/facility.
  • Because of any reason natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
  • Pay heed to the tour guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound tour.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.

  • Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
  • All the travellers are requested to carry a copy of their medical certificate (if any) with them.
  • Transportation during the trip would be in Non AC & Non-Heater vehicles. Please wear clothes according to the weather while travelling.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Thrillophilia will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.
  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
