Entry is open from all domestic destinations in India. However, all tourists are reqiuired to present a negative RT-PCR test report.

  • Face masks are compulsory when going out in public.
  • Lockdown and night curfew to be experienced till 16th of May.

Situated at a distance of 2.5 kilometres from Scandal Point, Shimla State Museum is a must-visit among Shimla Tourist Places. Dating back to the colonial times, the museum was once the private residence of Lord William Beresford.

At the moment, Shimla State Museum boasts of a vast collection of ancient sculptures, photographs, artworks, and coins collected from all the country. The museum library houses over 10,000 books, magazines, and journals that represent the historical importance and cultural diversity of Shimla as well as the rest of India. Town Hall

The heritage building dates back to 1910 displaying a beautiful élan of colonial architecture in Shimla town. Popularly recognized as the Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex, at present it serves as the Municipal Corporation of Shimla after complete renovation of its old structure.

It is one of the Shimla museums whose structure is preserved in its original form as to pay tribute to the pre-independence generation.

Image Art Gallery

Nestled amidst the serene ambiance of a preserved woodland the Image Art Gallery is one of the museums in Shimla which houses rare photographs of varied themes on display. The camp is located near Chail which is around 45kms from Shimla. This is amidst of the forest which gives you a sense of peace and relax your mind. Quality of food is superb with delicious taste.
