Ranikhet, home to the Kumaon Regiment and bustling with good old-fashioned military atmosphere, spreads over lush green hills with some stunning views over the distant Himalaya. The focus of the town is a busy bazaar area, but you don’t have to walk far along the narrow Mall Rd to bask in the forest and tall English trees. 

Apart from a military museum, some peaceful walks and views of snow-capped peaks, there’s not much to do in Ranikhet – it’s much more of a holiday destination than some other hill stations. This hill station is mostly preferred by travelers rather than tourists. Ranikhet is, however, mostly preferred by family and couple. The Jhoola Devi Temple of Ranikhet is an ancient relic built in the 8th century, located at 7 km from the town. The superior deity of this temple is Goddess Durga and is a believed at this temple, that Jhoola Devi has the powers to fulfil the longings of all her devotees. 

The temple houses a clumps of holy bells tied to its walls that are known for granting wishes on being ringed. According to a mythology, this temple was built to seek Durga’s protection for the wild animals in the place. The statue of Goddess Durga is said to have been unearthed by a shepherd from a particular place after being guided so by the goddess herself in his dream. This temple is made on the same spot from where this idol was obtained.

Bhaludam, is considered to be one of the best places to visit in Ranikhet. It is a small lake made artificially.  Located at a distance of 3 km just below the Chaubattia Orchard. The lake was built in 1903 by the British Government. The dam site is nourished with natural beauties, panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountains, calmness and scenic surroundings.

Firstly I want to Thank Thrillophilia and the team that they provided such an amazing deal online to managed the group stay very effectively. We were a group of 15 people, they have managed our stay very well, they served food on time and refill them fast. The staff helped us regarding each request and we enjoyed the games alot. Very good time spent. This place is perfect and you must visit here. Also a guided nature walk was very well executed. Highly recommended.

I recently went to Ranikhet with my colleagues and we booked this stay from Thrllophilia at the best reasonable price online provided with activities. Our cottages was very cozy and comfortable full of all the basic amenities required for a perfect stay. The staff was so polite and cooperative they have provided us their banquet on very short notice for our team activities. We also enjoyed our nature walk and our short hiking trails to explore the beauty of the city. Everything was perfect and well managed. Thanks to Thrillophilia for the wonderful experience.

The stay at the Seclude Wildside was one of the best experiences. We booked this place from Thrillophilia at the best price as compared to other sites. The ambiance was so beautiful, the rooms were nice, cozy and the entire property was well maintained with colonial style architecture all around. Great Hospitality, the food was very delicious. Do visit Goddess Kali temple it is the true beauty of Indian architecture. Also, we even enjoyed the visit to the Village.
