The Krishna Menon Museum and Art Gallery honors the prominent personality Shri V. K. Krishna Menon, a very influential figure in our history. The museum was established in his honor in 1975 in the East Hill region of Kozhikode, the region where Krishna Menon grew up and did his early studies. The museum has a special wing dedicated to the famed personality, which includes various artifacts, personal belongings, and photographs that highlight his journey. A definite addition to the things to do in Calicut for any art, culture, and/or history enthusiasts.
The collection that the museum carries also consists of 66 paintings, including the pieces of the celebrated Kerala artist Raja Ravi Varma, ivory creations, wood carvings, metallic sculptures, wall murals, and both the Bengali and Upper Rajasthani schools of art and modern art. Honoring the creative and intellectual pursuits of Shri V.K. Krishna Menon, the museum and art gallery also have a theatre and library.
