How To Reach

-How to reach Anjuna Beach from Panaji – You can reach Anjuna Beach by taking a local bus from Panjim KTC Bus Stand to Mapusa. Take a bus from Panaji to Mapusa, and then another bus from Mapusa to Anjuna. As the distance between Anjuna Beach and Panaji is almost 18 km, it’ll take 40-45 minutes during travelling.

-How to reach Anjuna Beach from Goa International Airport – You can either take a prepaid taxi from the airport or a local bus. If you want to go by bus then walk to the bus stand and take a bus till Panaji. Again, the same route follows, another bus from Mapusa to Anjuna beach. The ride is convenient and affordable.

Best Time To Visit

The perfect time to visit Anjuna Beach is in winters which usually begin from November to March. Goa’s weather is quite breezy and pleasant during this time. Though, you might want to keep an extra woollen with you. The temperature ranges between 21 C to 33 C. The summers would be warm and not a good time for vacations.

Moreover, tourists should be careful if visiting during the monsoon, i.e., from June to October. The high tides and heavy rainfall can disturb your planned itinerary. During monsoon, you can see a rise in the water level of the Anjuna Beach, that’s why tourists usually avoid going there.

Can we consume alcohol at Anjuna Beach? Is it allowed?

The Goa cabinet amended the Registration Tourist Trade Act which included impromptu alcohol-fueled beach parties too. According to the law, nobody can drink alcohol on beaches and tourist places any more.

The amendment took place in January 2019. Due to ill-behaved tourists, the locals had filed few complaints against them. The daily nuisance created by the drunken revellers leads to this decision. Also, the offenders would be fined Rs 2,000, while the penalty for groups stands at Rs 10,000.

Are there any washroom facilities available at Anjuna Beach?

You can find a public toilet at the starting point of the beach near the vehicle parking area. Although, it would be hardly possible for you to find any public washroom facilities at the Anjuna beach. Alternatively, the nearby shacks have clean washroom facilities.

Fully equipped with various amenities, the washrooms of beach shacks are usually used by the tourists. Some of the shacks would also have a shower so that people could wash all the sand off themselves after swimming.

Is Anjuna Beach crowded?

No, Anjuna beach is not a crowded beach. Although pristine and alluring, it is counted as a beach with minimal amount of crowd in Goa. The Anjuna beach offers a quiet ambience and avenues for entertainment. Those who are yearning for a tranquil getaway should visit this place.
