How to Reach:

By Air: The easiest way to travel to Spiti is by air. The nearest airport is Chandigarh International Airport which operates frequent flights across the country.  

By Road: Best option to reach Manali is by very well-connected network of Buses. They connect to important tourist destinations like New Delhi, Shimla, Kullu, and Leh. 

By Rail: Another alternative is Joginder Nagar Railway Station which is nearest railway station to Spiti and is connected with several important cities of the country.

Day 1
Manali to Kaza via Kunzum Pass | Capture the Spectacular Views of Bara-Sigri Glacier, Second Longest in the Himalayas
Kaza
  • Reach Manali early in the morning and meet a representative who will give you a quick overview of this entire Spiti Valley tour.
  • You will start by hitting the road from Manali towards Kaza.
  • You will be passing through the popular adventure-haven Rohtang Pass and then drive into the stunning brown-badland landscape to approach Chatru and Batal.
  • At 14,931 feet, you will be catching your first chill at the Kunzum Pass and then descend into Losar Village, the first village in Spiti valley.
  • Take a short stopover at Losar and enjoy a hot cup of tea and some snacks.
  • Having warmed up with a cup of tea, you will continue driving through the stunning landscapes and reach Kaza.
  • You will be spending the night at a comfortable hotel in Kaza.
Day 2
Kaza to Tabo with Detour to Pin Valley | Catch a Glimpse of Ghost Cats in the Maze of Daunting Trails
Tabo
  • Post breakfast, you will start your drive towards the beautiful Pin Valley.
  • Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more.
  • You will be first visiting the Kungri Monastery and then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh, which is the last motorable village of the Pin Valley.
  • Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards in addition to other animals indigenous to the region like the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten.
  • Birds such as the pika, griffon, golden eagle, bearded vulture, Chukor and Raven will be painting the skies with a pretty picture as you drive through the beautiful Pin Valley.
  • You will then drive to Tabo in the evening to visit the oldest running monastery.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Tabo.
Day 3
Tabo to Langza via Dhankar and Hikkim | Send out Postcards Stamped at the Top of the World
Langza
  • After a delicious breakfast, the drive to Dhankar Monastery, perched on the edge of a 300m cliff is a sight to behold and looks straight out of a movie set.
  • An hour trek takes you to the beautiful Dhankar Lake situated above the Dhankar village is a great way to get introduced to High Himalayan Trekking.
  • After Dhankar you will drive on the twisting high roads of Spiti to reach Komic, the highest village in the world with a motor-able road at 4580m.
  • Have the most amazing experience of sending postcards to your loved ones from the World's Highest post office in Hikkim at 4440m.
  • Continue driving on these high roads above 4300m with the magnificent Himalayas jutting in front of your eyes to reach Langza, the most beautiful Himalayan Village with a 6303m Peak Mt. CCKN(Chau Chau Kang Nilda) adorning its backdrop.
  • Overnight dinner and stay at Langza.
Day 4
Langza to Chandratal via Key Monastery | Explore Glistening Lake that Changes Colours Throughout the Day
Chandratal
  • After breakfast, visit the most iconic monastery at Key.
  • Built on top of a hill, the main shrine is surrounded by residential quarters and administrative buildings that are built in the shape of a pyramid.
  • After absorbing the beauty of this ancient marvel, you’ll further visit the high villages of Kibber and Chicham.
  • Pass through the Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia, that offers awe-inspiring visuals of the valley below.
  • After crossing the Chicham bridge, proceed to Chandratal, the Hidden Blue Jewel of the Himalayan Mountains that literally translates to Moon Lake.
  • The mystical and beautiful Chandratal Lake, with a striking backdrop of Chandra Bhaga mountain range, keeps changing its appearance throughout the day.
  • You can take a stroll around the lake, and then you will drive down to your campsite where you can enjoy a hot supper under the gaze of a million stars.

Day 5
Chandratal Lake to Manali via Rohtang | Witness Spellbinding Views of Geypan Peaks
Manali
  • With the visuals of the stunning Chandratal Lake captured in the minds and cameras, you will continue tracing your steps back towards Manali.
  • You will pass through the walls of the snow at the famous Rohtang Pass to reach Manali where you can choose to explore the markets shopping for souvenirs.
  • Later in the day take a bus or a private taxi towards your next destination.

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; it is advisable that you take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the tour. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the tour.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.
  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
  • The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.
  • Thrillophilia reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like a change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, roadblocks, etc. will not be accommodated in the package cost. No bill will be reimbursed for any missed service/facility.
  • Because of any reason, natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
  • Pay heed to the tour guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound tour.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • GST is applicable to the package cost.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
  • Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort will be charged at actuals.
  • Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
  • All the travellers are requested to carry a copy of their medical certificate (if any) with them.
  • Transportation during the trip would be in Non AC & Non-Heater vehicles. Please wear clothes according to the weather while travelling.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Thrillophilia will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained.
