Run by the Karnataka Forest Department, Kulgi Nature Camp is a must-visit among Dandeli for the nature lovers and fans of adventure, the trekking site is located amidst the jungle. To reach the campsite walk around 400 meters with nature’s zip zap way.
This is really an adventurous activity in Dandeli Forest, usually undertaken by the young travellers. There are several trekking routes in Dandeli like Kavala Caves trek, Kulgi-Nagzari Valley trek, and Potoli-Shiroli trek. These are organized by Kulgi Nature Camp, which is run by the forest department. Kulgi-Nagzari Valley trek is hard and is about 15 km long trek which takes about 8 hours.
It is an enchanting experience to watch the sun go down at the end of the trekking path. Urge anyone’s interest, seeking new places to try this tedious yet rewarding trek with views of a spectacular valley, bountiful flora and fauna, and the lifeline which holds it all together – the Nagazari stream.

How to reach Kulgi Nagzari Trek Starting Point:
Direct bus available from Dharwad to Dandeli, Kulgi Nature Camp is about 12 km from Dandeli town. There are state-run buses that connect Dandeli with Kulgi but are not frequent. Instead, if you do not have your own vehicle, walk down to the Chennamma circle from where you'll get private vehicles and forest dept vehicles.
