Sakleshpur Packages

A hill station in the heights of Western Ghats of India, Sakleshpur is a small town located in the state of Karnataka. Famous for being surrounded by a surprising number of plantations of coffee, tea and spices, Sakleshpur’s economy thrives on these. Apart from that, with the recent development in the tourism happening around the town, places to visit in Sakleshpur have recently gathered a lot of fame for themselves because of their beauty and the kind of experiences that they harbour, both of which are unparalleled.

Easily connected with Major cities like Bangalore and Mangalore, Sakleshpur has a bounty of beautiful places to see, both manmade and nature’s gifts. A prime example of that is the ages-old Manjarabad Fort constructed in the form of a star, which is also one of the prime tourist places in Sakleshpur. But that is not the only one, the list of names goes on and on as to where you should go to see Sakleshpur treating you with its best views of natural beauty, sometimes mingling with the manmade structures.

The 600 year old Sakleshwara temple that sits on the river Hemavathi’s banks is a piece of fine craftsmanship in surroundings that are meant to take your breath away. And taking your breath away brings to mind the Bisle View Point, offering a panoramic view of the region and hills around, as well as the rainforests of the area. You can see as far away as the Pushpagiri, Dodda Betta and Kumara Parvatha Hills.

And no, the hill station is not just about the sights as there is a long list of things to do in Sakleshpur. The hill station knows how to live on the adventurous edge of life too. Sakleshpur is a heaven for trekking enthusiasts, and that is why this town has taken the definition of trekking to a whole new level by introducing something new like Railway Bridge Trekking. You can trek on the 52km long railway track (trek) between Sakleshpur and Kukke Subramanya road junction, which was closed down long ago. This unforgettable experience takes you through the scenes of at least 25 waterfalls.

And as far as the question of staying in Sakleshpur is concerned, nature stays in Sakleshpur are bound to take your breath away with their surroundings, features and comfort alongside the local hospitality that you will experience here. There is no one type in the places to stay in Sakleshpur and that is what makes it worth experiencing. So take your family, friends, or partner and come to Sakleshpur, and even if no one agrees, come solo. But do not think of missing out on so much fun.

"Staff at the home stay were friendly courteous and helpful . A good number of activities were offered at the campsite -Kayaking, Zip lining , trekking , archery , badminton and many more . Kayaking was very relaxing and is a must try, early morning trek was also impressive .\n\nQuality of food was decent . Also the home stay staff were quite happy to help setup a barbecue on request which made the stay all the more enjoyable .\n\nNote: Last 3km leading to the site is slushy and may be difficult manoeuvre using a car meant for the cities."

The drive to the location is scenic and if you love driving, then it is a double-treat. We reached around 2 PM in the afternoon last weekend and yes, it was raining but intermittently. We enjoyed the rainy weather a lot. Kids had an absolutely wonderful experience with some of the activities on site like playing in the slushy mud, rain dance, and of course we spend a good amount of time in the water stream that passes around this camping site. No, it's not a river... it is a big water stream that flows from the hills around the site. The staff is extremely helpful, and Aditya who manages the site is a great person. He can also talk in Hindi and English fluently, not just Kannada. So, you will never have to worry about communication issues. The food was super delicious all through lunch, dinner and breakfast... served hot. In fact, when we arrived at the site we were the only guests there and that earned us brownie points in specifying the menu for both lunch and dinner. We did not stay in the tents that were available as we had two kids who were less than five years old and didn't want the weather to affect their health. Next time for sure though. The cottages were well-maintained and we stayed in one of them. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking with the stream flowing right in front of the cottages. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind and relax... and have fun with the various activities. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay a memorable one. I for one would surely like to revisit this place and stay for more than a day. And, in the rainy season! Cheers!

"It was exciting and exactly what we expected. Slightly we got dissappointed about the veg food menu, apart from that everything was superb. But the stay was fruitful and relaxing. Kayaking, trekking, mud volleyball, raindance arrangement was superb and secure.. Thanks to the team and management. "

Camping plus adventure = total madness, and a memorable trip. Got a crazy awesome deal with these guys, so booked it instantly. Had a lot of indoor and outdoor activities to stimulate us, while the river made everything more beautiful and calm. The food was amazing and healthy, for all three meals of the day. The guide Mahesh was very energetic, and never tried of our endless questions and requests. Very supportive staff. Thanks for this amazing weekend, Thrillophilia. Will recommend. Love.

This was an awesome experience staying right in the middle of a thick green forest, and the first time I ever did anything like this. I didn’t know what to even expect from a weekend like this, but there were so many things to do, like hiking, going to the waterfall, stargazing etc.. I love being pampered so I took the massage too, at an extra cost, and that was so good! Thanks to Thrillophilia for arranging such tours.

Camping in Sakleshpur was a family outing and Thrillophilia made it memorable. Especially the riverside camping along with fun outdoor games that brought us all out of our comfort zones. Camping under the starry night skies in the middle of a forest was an experience we’ll remember for years. The stay was comfortable, but the food was a bit spicy for our taste. But everything else was perfect, including the travelling. We have already recommended it to a few family friends.Thank you Suhash.

The overall stay was satisfactory. The staff was courteous and friendly. It was full of activities and the trek in the morning had me. Would love to stay again if more washrooms are provided and maintained well.

Had fun time, the place is beautiful. But I would suggest that if any one is planning to go for a trek to Sakleshpur then take you friends as well or prefer going in a group coz that makes trekking all the more interesting. Great experience, loved it!
