Kufri in Winter

Majorly known as
the winter destination of India, Kufri exhibits harsh weather in the winter
months. But if you are a snow lover, you will never wish to leave this place.
The months between December and February are the coldest months and it is this
time when you can enjoy the skiing activity to the fullest. Several adventure
buffs look forward to attending the annual winter sports that are being

The October month marks the onset of
winter season which continues till the month of March. The town freezes during

drops as low as -4 degree Celsius during the morning hours and in the extreme
weather conditions, the night temperature can even drop to -10 degree Celsius.
Though the entire town freezes with cold in this season, there are still a handful

One of the most
interesting things to do on your winter visit to Kufri is a yak ride.
Throughout the yak ride, you can treat your eyes with the most impeccable views
and capture some attractive images for the way back home. Another adventure
sport which has gained widespread popularity of the adventure enthusiasts is
skiing. While there are many slopes where beginners can relish the experience

The summer in Kufri
kickstarts in April and continues till the month of June. Though the
temperature in the town is on the cooler side throughout the year, it reaches
its peak during these months. During the summer days, the average temperature
of Kufri varies from 12 degree Celsius in the night to 19 degrees Celsius in
the daytime.
This is the time when you can indulge in bountiful of activities
here. If you happen to visit Kufri during these months, you must not miss the
Annual Summer Festival which is marked with a celebration of art and culture.

Mahasu peak, being the highest peak in

another popular spot which is perched at an elevation of 2800 meters. It is

The monsoon season

receives scanty rainfall. While Kufri doesn’t witness frequent rainfall, the
entire town gets covered with mist during this season and this is the duration

continues till the September month. During these months, the temperature of the

The skills of the local
people are clearly evident in the beautiful handicrafts which are displayed in
the market. Here you can also find many roadside stalls serving hot tea and
snacks to the visitors to help them beat the cold monsoon season. The vibrant
streets of this market perfectly complement the calmer surroundings of Kufri.
Kufri Main Bazaar
is one more market which shares an uncanny resemblance with the Tourist Market.
Though it is widely known for its local handicraft, clothing and accessories
shops, it also houses several electronics and repair shops. So, if you are
