Bali Low Season

Right after the end of peak seasons or right before the start of peak season are usually the times when your savings would be the highest and are the times you should most definitely look out for.  This in-between period is a hassle for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the bustling life of the city.

Decide Your Honeymoon Destinations In Bali

Stretches of foamy white waters, the perfect haven for surfers or adventure sports enthusiasts. The beaches offer a stunning view of the sunset, that just paints the sky with vivid reds, purples, and oranges, making for the best backdrop for you to take those new “honeymoon selfies” for Facebook.

Kuta stretches along the beachfront all the way from the international airport to Legian, and small scattered lanes lead from the beaches into the densely populated streets of this popular surfing point. To avoid traffic-related frustrations, the best option is a combination of walking in small lanes and using metered taxis or a rented motorbike for longer excursions.

Kuta is also one of the most active party towns on the whole island, perfect for a youthful scene which gives you the perfect ambiance without burning a hole in your pocket.

It is also home to the Uluwatu Temple, a must visit for anyone! A beautiful Balinese Hindu Temple immersed in the ocean. If you are lucky and there’s a low tide, you would get a chance to walk around the beautiful temple. There are many wonderful activities to do in Kuta which can give you really unique experience.

Tourist Attractions In Kuta Include: Kuta Beach, Kerobokan, Waterboom Waterpark, Legian Street, Bali’s Shell Museum, Hard Rock Hotel, Bali Bomb Memorial and many other undiscovered treasures.

Ubud is all about those rolling green hills and luscious forests surrounding a beautiful valley. Ubud is dotted with breathtaking temples all across the city, although not all of them are completely open to the public.

Ubud is pronounced 'oobood' as in the same way as the 'oo' sounds in 'good'. Comprising of over 14 villages, the locals, and their friendly attitudes will definitely have you singing Hakuna Matata, the Indonesian way. As they say, seng ken-ken!- Balinese for 'no worries!'.

This is a far cry from typical tourist towns but is the best place to witness and feel one with all the Balinese culture. A few of the temples might allow visitors to observe traditional religious ceremonies and stunning native dance displays, what better way but to bask in all of Bali’s glory! Do make a note of carrying a hoodie or a jacket if you are planning to visit Ubud, it is quite a contrast to the humid coastlines of Bali.

Some Places To Look Out In Ubud: The Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Gunung Kawi, Pura Tirta Empul, Goa Gajah and many other places.

Jimbaran has had what we call a total makeover, from being known as the backwater fishing village to the now have earned the title of “ Beverly Hills of Bali”. Definitely a 360’ makeover. Look out for the best seafood and the safest beaches with calm and less hectic hot spots scattered around.

The bay itself has a pleasant white sand beach and is safe for swimming. The three clusters of grilled seafood restaurants on the beach are a major tourist draw in the evenings, as is the truly stunning sunset. There are also many other romantic things to do in Bali which you and your partner can enjoy together.

But then again, the sunrise would be beautiful as well, maybe walking hand in hand with your loved ones welcoming in the day? Sounds perfect. Jimbaran remains attach to local traditions, especially when it comes to religious activities. The temple in front of Jimbaran Market is the center for celebrations with regular parades from the temple.

Deciding What You Can Afford

Like any relationship, sitting down with your life partner and deciding what you are comfortable with spending is very important. This creates the perfect framework of how and what you should indulge in. When it comes to going on any trip, it is important to set a boundary of how much you are willing and comfortable to spend.

This prevents the hardship or the “post honeymoon” phase that will stress you and your loved one out. Why not plan what you wish to indulge in and make sure your spending patterns don't deter with your mood. Never underestimate your expenses, rather overestimate to prevent a tight crunch when you are on holiday. Decide wisely to make the most of whatever you wish to spend.

Transportation is very affordable in Bali and shouldn't be a hassle. The best option for young travellers would be to grab one of the cheap scooters to travel around and explore the city or you could get a driver. Bali is full of enthusiastic friendly faces singing popular Bollywood songs.

Affordable shuttle buses called Kura Kura Bus, are available to travel from hotspot to hotspot.Indian food is everywhere in Bali, but if you wish to visit the local favourites, make sure to ask some of the friendly faces.

Avoid booking a cab through the hotel as most likely, you would be paying far more than necessary for the trip! Look around for some cheap travel options or ask around for a local driver.

Check Your Accommodation Budget

Airbnb, private villas, luxurious resorts, your options are endless when it comes to Bali and all at a very affordable rate! Make sure to compare all your options before coming to a decision.

Just like any budget, plan the most out of what you have and what you wish to have. If you plan on traveling around Bali, you are most likely to leave your hotel in the early hours in the morning and be back only after sunset.

Would it not be a better idea to save your budget there? And spend it on something else? Or maybe the best way to make the most out of your trip would be to stay at a bunch of places in different areas of Bali to save travel time and even cost of accommodation.

Pre-Register Local Transportation In Bali

Research and look up some ways to travel to the place you wish to explore, instead of getting rental cars from your hotel, that will definitely burn a hole in your wallet. Ask friends who have already travelled to Bali before, for known drivers or just Google about some agencies.

If that is not an option, bargain your way to the friendliest, most pocket-friendly driver, on arrival at the airport or you will definitely find something just for you around the hot spots like Bali Collection, Kuta Beach etc. These travel agents scattered all on the same busy road, compete for the same set of clients. Thus, give the best deal possible and even through in free tours.

What to Leave With Your Family Before Departure

Exchange Rate

The prices in Bali will definitely bring out a strut in your walk and a goofy smile on your face. Just like any top tourist destination, you will have to make sure you know the worth of what you are purchasing, and don't let anything go too easy. Do not know how to bargain? This is the perfect place to try out all the tricks of the trade.

Bargaining is a must, wherever you go, right from the various tickets you would be purchasing for the beautiful temples to the shopping you do! The current conversion rate is a 100 Indian rupees to 20,712 Indonesian rupiahs which changes reasonably. Do have a look at various currency exchange places before deciding which one is giving you the best rate.
