About Jack the Ripper Museum

Relive the story of Jack the Ripper and his series of murders at Whitechapel between 1888 and 1891 at the Jack the Ripper museum in London. Discover the chilling tale of Jack the Ripper and his infamous murders with our Europe tour package from india. Jack the Ripper was an infamous serial killer who threatened the streets of East London, shocked the world with his murder of eleven women, and successfully maintained his identity to be secret. There have been scores of theories, books, and films that tried to solve the crime but unfortunately reached a dead end.

The Jack the Ripper museum at Cable Street in London, founded by Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe, is a quirky attraction that portrays the history of women in London’s East end, grisly murder scenes, and artifacts related to the killer and the victims. It houses artificial settings that look like the Whitechapel locality in 1888, a recreation of the victims’ rooms, and original newspaper clippings about the crime and the suspected killers.

You can also catch a glimpse of the autopsy photos, medical reports, and illustrations of many victims at the museum. The Mary Kelly room is a popular place to visit at the museum since it shows the room in which Mary Kelly, the first victim, lived and died. The museum also hosts a walking tour at 3 PM every day so that visitors can look at all the main locations linked to the murder series.

Went solo to this museum as I'm always fascinated towards detective stuff. I got to witness the artefacts recovered from crime scenes and took a tour of the room where Mary Kelly, one of the killer’s victims, lived and got murdered.

The Jack the Ripper tour was one of the most exciting things I have ever tried in my life. It’s like being in an investigation game, but in real life! Our guide took us through London’s darkest areas while continuously narrating its history. We also went into a game mode trying to solve the crimes ourselves.

This museum is one that you wont easily hear about, unless you do your proper research, and thanks to Thrillophilia, I found out about it. The museum is fully dedicated to Jack the Ripper, who was a serial killer during 1880s. It was thrilling to see the recreations of the crime scenes, and see how the victims were murdered, including original letters and sketches by Jack the Ripper.
