How To Reach

By Public Ferry- Public ferry is the easiest and most convenient way to reach Cockatoo Island. You can avail yourself of the F3 and F8 services that run every day from Circular Quay, Barangaroo, and wharves along Parramatta River.  

By Private Transport- Sydney Event Cruises offer private transportation service to Cockatoo Island for small and large groups. You can hire a luxurious limousine and large charge vessel for a group of up to 300 people to reach Cockatoo Island through Chamber Wharf.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Cockatoo Island is between September and November and then from March to May, i.e., during the spring and autumn seasons. During this time, the weather remains warm and pleasant to explore the entire island and take part in different fun-filled activities. As far as the time of the day is concerned, you should visit the attraction early mornings and in the evenings to catch the beautiful sunrise and sunset views.
