Sundarban Tour 1 Night 2 Days Overview

Trip Location: Sundarban

- The abode of the Bengal Tigers, Sunderban has gained a lot of popularity as the world’s largest mangrove forest. Declared as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Biosphere Reserve is home to beautiful estuaries, roaring rivers, salt-water crocodiles, and umpteen varieties of birds.

- Sundarban 1 night 2 days tour will start from Kolkata, from where you will head towards Sundarban Godkhali. 

- On the first day, you will visit Gomor river village, where you will enjoy a beautiful village walk and interact with the locals. Later, you will proceed to the Sundarban Bird Jungle and catch a glimpse of the breathtaking sunset view. 

- You will spend the rest of the day enjoying a local folk dance performance and bonfire.

- On day 2 of your 1 night 2 days Sundarban tour, you will gear up for the Sunderban jungle safari in a boat cruise. 

- Here, you will enjoy spotting the Royal Bengal Tiger, wild boars, crocodiles, spotted deers, and a variety of colorful birds. You will also witness three watch towers - Dobanki, Sudhanyakhali, and Sajnekhali.

  • Day 1 - Arrival (Kolkata to Sundarban Godkhali )

    Start your Sundarban tour of 1 night 2 days from Kolkata and travel to Sundarban.

    At 11:30 am, you will reach the island of Gosaba by boat and then you can take a auto rickshaw ride to the cottage situated on the bank of Gomor river,

    After checking in the cottage, have the rest of the day at leisure, and spend some quiet time on the island.

    In the afternoon, after lunch you can take a village walking tour, here you will get a chance to learn about the tradition and culture of the village people.

    Later, head to the Sundarban Bird Jungle and enjoy bird watching with a beautiful sunset.

    In the evening, you will witness the folk dance performances by the local people.

    Later have dinner and an overnight stay in the cottage as the first day of your 1 night 2 days Sundarban tour comes to an end.

  • Day 2 - Sunderban Jungle Excursion

    Wake up in the morning with breakfast and get ready to witness the largest single block of “Tidal Mangrove Forest”.

    Board the Boat cruise and head towards the Sunderban Jungle, where you will get to see crocodiles,wild boars, spotted deers, water monitor lizards, kingfisher or different types of birds and if you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’.

    Next we will take you to the watchtowers, from where you get a chance to see these wild animals living in their natural habitat. You will be visiting three watch towers known as Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali and Dobanki.

    Spend the entire day amidst the Mangrove forest and witness nature at its best. In the evening, head out of the Jungle as you reach the final point of your 1 night 2 days Sundarban tour.

    Travel back to Kolkata, where you will be dropped at your preferred destination as your trip ends here.
