Each bedroom has vast bay windows which overlook the Gahana Valley and its terraced fields and orchards. In the local language, "Gahana" means "Jewel". From the comfort of their own room, one can experience sunrise and the clear night sky over the ridges and ravines. Panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli, considered by many to be the best in Uttaranchal, are only minutes away. This place has a large dining and sitting room where one can take their meals and share their experiences with fellow travelers. One can however, prefer outdoor barbecue and campfire. This place hosts a library that has reading material ranging from local and natural history to Indian literature and philosophy. There is also a selection of games including a carom board. The peaceful surroundings at this traditional home make it a perfect setting for yoga and meditation.At night enjoy a warm campfire and stroll at the clear sky full of stars on a clear day. This accommodation offers a variety of activities from jungle walk, temple visit , waterfall trek etc.

How to Reach?

This place is 2 hours drive from Haldwani and can be reached by private transportation. Situated near the temple town of Mukteshwar,  at an altitude of 2286m (7500 ft) one needs to take a walk of 20 min from jungle to the place from Ghana cafe.
