Overview

Wayanad is famous of its bamboo culture, and what can be a better way to experience it than living in a bamboo cottage itself.

About the property

The property is located in the Meppadi region of Wayanad. Thrikkaipatta which is very near to Meppadi is known as the ‘bamboo village’ of Wayanad, and rightly so. The property is surrounded by bamboo clearing and natural ponds which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The cottages in this property are entirely made of bamboos to give you a feel of a tree house. Great work has been done to keep the interiors of the cottages cool and comfortable. Modern amenities with traditional décor and wooden furniture give the interiors an earthly yet classic look.

The caretakers and the housekeeping staff will cater to your every need and make sure that you have a comfortable stay. And the activities offered by the host are not to be missed.

Activities

You can spend a day with the farmers, sow some seeds and try your hands on farming in the fields.  Go for bird watching as the area is home to a rich variety of aerial species. A guide will be there with you and trek you through some scenic spots in the surroundings. You can also learn some local style cooking with the hosts.

Stay

Individual cottages on double sharing can be booked for stay. You can choose between Luxury cottages, Deluxe cottages and Modern cottages. All the cottages are equipped with necessary amenities needed with small differences as per the type of cottage.

1 child under 5 years of age is allowed per cottage without any additional cost.
