Liverpool Castle

The Liverpool Castle was built around 1236-1267 between the area of James Street and Castle street.

There were five large towers and a moat in Liverpool castle. King Edward II stayed at the castle in 1323.

There was a hidden tunnel leading down from the castle but now it runs along James street to the waterfront and is used as a Sewer.
