The Victoria Botanical Garden is one of the most idyllic destinations to visit on your Seychelles trip. Initially started as an agricultural area in the early 1900s by the renowned agronomist P R Dupont. Trees of timber, various fruits, palms, etc- were planted in the start. It was then converted to a public park with immense scenic features.

Built in the 1840s, this place was named after the English Governor of Seychelles, Sir Percy Selwyn Selwin Clarke. Lying in the centre of the city, this place is of significant importance to the inhabitants of Seychelles. The Selwyn market serves as the ‘bazaar’ of Victoria, and sees hundreds of people thronging it each day.
