Payyambalam Beach is one of the five popular beaches in the district of Kannur, Kerala. Known for its golden sands, coconut trees and clear waters, it has become a favourite spot for both locals and tourists. Extending up to 4 kilometres, it offers space to relax, enjoy a picnic, or simply soak up the natural beauty, listing it among one of the best places to visit in Kannur.
The beach is perfect for those who prefer water activities, as the visitors can swim, surf or try out kayaking and beach volleyball here. Children can build sandcastles or try rock climbing. During the summer, the beach also hosts several kite festivals, adding a colourful and lively atmosphere. Notable among the many statues is a sculpture created by the artist Kanayi Kunhiraman of a mother and child, which adds a touch of artistic charm to the beach.
