Nakanoshima Park is a waterfront park located between the Dojimagawa and Tosaborigawa rivers. This is a park that resembles an urban oasis and greenery that attracts a lot of locals and tourists alike. This is also the first public park in Osaka as it was established in 1891 and also takes pride in being the first beer garden in the city making it a must-visit on your Osaka trip.

This rose park takes pride in housing more than 3000 roses. There are more than 300 species of roses and you can find all of them in the park here. The roses are at their best from the middle of May to the beginning of June, along with the end of October to the middle of november. The roses here are known to be more colourful and come with a strong smell. It’s interesting to know that these roses have developed and evolved for the past 150 years.

This park is the go to place to know more about the roses and how they have evolved with due course of time. If you are planning to check out the roses, do note that the roses bloom in full capacity but are lightly coloured in spring. Meanwhile, in autumn, they have a much stronger smell and are more colourfully vibrant.
