Located in the Azhikode area of Kannur, Meenkunnu Beach is one of the most beautiful, serene, and less-explored beaches in Kerala. The beach’s name, “Meenkunnu”, means “Hill of fish”, pays respect to the local fishing community. Visiting this beach during early morning and evening provides magical views of the sunrise and sunset. The fishermen seem to be at work, and photographers and locals can be spotted soaking in the beautiful views of the beach. There are not many shops or food carts near the beach, so it is best to carry your snacks and picnic essentials.
