This spectacular museum was founded in 1970 and became the first Madame Tussauds Museum outside of the United Kingdom. This museum displays very detailed wax figures of famous movie stars, artists, prominent political leaders, athletes, and the Royal family.

Madame Tussauds Amsterdam has 6 different zones which are separated in different floors. Amsterdam has the best weather between May to August which is the best time to plan your visit to Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. • Spare at least 90 minutes to 2 hours to explore this incredibly inspiring Museum of wax.

By Train: If you are traveling by train then get off at Amsterdam Central Station. From the station, Madame Tussauds is a ten minute walk to Dam Square where you will find the Museum between the Kalverstraat and the Rokin.

By Tram: Tram route numbers 2, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 24 will take you to Dam Square where the Madame Tussauds Museum is located.

By Tube: If you are taking the tube, head to the south, get off at Rocking and head towards the Dam Square exit. 

By Car: If you plan to drive to Dam Square, there are various parking areas nearby for your convenience. The closest one is the Bijenkorf car park which is just five minutes walk from Madame Tussauds in Dam Square.
