Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple

This famous temple in Lansdowne is dedicated to Lord Shiva and sees a huge crowd of devotees throughout the year. The name of this temple is derived from Kalash Rishi. Kaleshwar Mahadev is an important pilgrimage centre which is maintained by the Indian Army. 

The prayers in this temple are conducted by a Major. It is the most ancient temple in the town which is said to be around 500 years old. The holy temple is also known to be the meditation site for many sages.
