Jubail Mangrove Park situated within Al Jubail Island’s parameters is a mangrove sanctuary. This park is the capital’s unique, leisure, educational, and nature facility. It also houses various local avian and marine species of Abu Dhabi. The landscape of the Park evokes the USA’s Deep South bayous imagery, immersed in pale blue soulful waters that appear as one of the Maldives brochures straight up. The trees at the park are all “gray mangroves” and have pointy roots upwards that help them breathe and retain oxygen during high tides.

This park has a series of boardwalk routes meant for pedestrians. These routes take the visitors into Jubail island’s tidal lagoons and mangrove forests. The boardwalk is 2.6 kilometers long and navigates through a plethora of ecosystems including unique lagoon channels, salt marshes, intertidal mudflats, sandstone geological formations, and mangrove habitat. The park acts as the Abu Dhabi coastline’s protective shield and strives to keep up a pristine environment of suitable climate and fresh air for marine and wild animals.
