The Bay Island Driftwood Museum, Kumarakom, Kerala, displays a large collection of driftwood articles of great quality and very high artistic value. With its perfectly carved artifacts, the museum is one of the best places to visit in Kumarakom. Several different processes are involved in the preparation of these artifacts and innovative modern art forms. This museum is located in the scenic village of Kumarakom, in Kottayam, and the natural beauty around it makes the experience even more calming and memorable.

A lady from Andaman & Nicobar Islands used to pick up the tree's small twisted trunks, branches, and roots, which later sparked her desire to shape them into pieces of art. That art made its place in the driftwood museum, and now is one of the finest in the world.

The whole process led to the transformation of this museum into one of its kind in India. The pieces were cut and shaped into the structure she had in her mind. In the process, the pieces turned into a resemblance of reptiles, birds, amphibians, and fish. Shaping and detailing were done with pure dedication.

This museum's extensive collection has secured its name in the Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, and URF Book of Records. This museum provides an unparalleled artistic experience, being a unique museum in Kumarakom.
