Baraha Chhetra

One of the greatest Hindu pilgrimages in Nepal, Baraha Chhetra is the spot where Lord Bishnu’s avatar, Barah- a boar incarnation fought with the demon called Hiranakshya and killed him. The shrine is dedicated to the reincarnation, Barah and the images of the boar are spread beautifully throughout the temple. The temple is located at the confluence of might Saptakoshi and Koka Rivers.

Highlights: The serene and beautiful surroundings of the temple are its major highlight. They will invigorate you with a ton of energy. It is a bridge that connects the temple to the mountain. A stroll down this bridge is an excellent measure of watching the confluence of rivers. One of the most attractive things here Is that all 7 Koshi Rivers meet together to form the holiest Sapta Koshi River.
