Trip Location: Patna

Mithila Painting or the Madhubani Painting is an art form that originated from Bihar. These paintings are done using fingers, twigs, matchsticks, natural dyes, and pigments and have complex geometric shapes. If you wish not to get all messy, then don’t worry as you can stick to regular brushes and pens.

- Enjoy a rural visit to Darbhanga and Madhubani region famous for Mithila Painting.
- You will be attending a Mithila Painting workshop at Ranti or Jitwarpur Village where female artists will show you the method and art form of Madhubani painting.
- You may try some healthy Mithila painting competition and buy an authentic piece of art.

- Join others for this workshop with the artists and learn some new content for the festivities and religious rituals.
- You can also opt to extend the tour for one more day at an additional cost to get a chance to visit the forts and havelis of Darbhanga Raj.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Patna – Muzaffarpur – Darbhanga; Witness Bangle Making
On arrival at Patna Airport/Railway Station, a representative will greet you and will assist you in getting transferred to your car for a road drive to Darbhanga.
En-route visit Muzaffarpur, where you will see the best works of Bangle Making.
You will get a chance to see the live making of Lacquer Ware in Muzaffarpur.
After this, you will proceed to Darbhanga.
On reaching Darbhanga check in to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Darbhanga.
Day 2 - Darbhanga – Madhubani – Darbhanga; Mithilia Painting Workshop
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning.
Get ready to have a rural visit to Darbhanga and Madhubani region. Madhubani is a nearby town of Darbhanga and is famous for Mithila Painting.
You will be taken to a Mithila Painting workshop at Ranti or Jitwarpur Village where female artists will show you the method and art form of Madhubani painting.
You may also try your hands on some Mithila painting patterns on paper and buy an authentic piece of art.
In the evening drive back to Darbhanga.
The tour ends here. From here you can proceed to your next destination.
NOTE: If you opt for an additional Darbhanga – Patna (departure) day then you will be transferred to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Darbhanga – Patna; Sightseeing (Optional Day at Additional Cost)
After having breakfast in the morning get a chance to visit the Forts and Havelis of Darbhanga Raj.
Visit Laxmeshwar Vilas Palace, Nargauna Palace, Rambagh Palace, Bela Palace and The Chandradhari Museum.
Later drive back to the village to thank the family for the hospitality and drive straight to Patna.
On arrival in Patna, get dropped off at Railway Station or Airport for your onwards journey to home.

Stay

Each stay offered comes with comfortable beds and furniture, and an attached bathroom.

To ensure utmost hygiene, every stay is cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis.

Breakfast is included in the package. Lunch and dinner can be availed at an additional cost.

Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels.

The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests.

Thrillophilia reserve the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e. weather condition, political condition, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.

However, if some services are not operational due to government guidelines, thrillophilia reserves the right to replace them with other activities.

Children above 8 years of age will be considered as adults only.

There are no charges for children below 8 years of age. Extra Bed would be charged on actuals.

All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, etc. are not a part of the package.

Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package.

Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal.

Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed.

Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.

ID proof is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as valid address proof.

All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details before their stay.

Any breakage or damage of any items in the Hotel/Resort will be charged at actuals.

The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

Booking Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking

In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.

Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.
