The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane was founded in 1927 and is the world's largest koala sanctuary. It is home to more than 100 koalas. The sanctuary also has over 75 native Australian animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, and local birds like cockatoos and kookaburras. Know Before You Go for Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Tickets

  • Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Children must be supervised at all times and follow sanctuary guidelines.
  • The park is wheelchair and stroller friendly, with accessible restrooms. Guests with disabilities may bring assistance animals with valid accreditation; however, access to certain wildlife zones may be restricted.
  • Some areas at the sanctuary are unpaved and may not be suitable for all wheelchairs and mobility assistance devices.
  • Maintain a calm and quiet demeanor, especially around koalas and baby animals.
  • Do not chase, grab, or disturb animals. Always follow staff instructions during encounters.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere within the sanctuary.
  • Only feed animals with sanctuary-provided food. Outside food for animals is strictly prohibited.
  • Bicycles, tricycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates and similar modes of transportation are not permitted.
  • Pets/Animals are not allowed with the exception of certified guide, hearing or assistance animals permitted within the public access grounds of the sanctuary.
  • It is recommended not to wear heels at the sanctuary as it involves extensive walking.
  • Photography, videography, and/or recording for commercial use is not permitted.
  • Visitors are not to sit, stand or climb on exhibit fencing/barriers under any circumstances, nor attempt to enter any animal exhibits.
