How to Reach ?

Manas is 137 kms from Guwahati. The National Highway No. 31 adjoins Barpeta Road which is 22 kms to Bansbari (Manas entry point where Musa Jungle Retreat is located overlooking the Park). The journey from Guwahati by road is 4 hrs. Approx. Shared cabs are easily available from the airport & railway station.

Know Before You Go for Jeep Safari In Manas National Park

  • Total timing for Jeep safari is 2 hour and rest 1 hour is in documentation and briefing.
  • Children above 4 years of age will be included in the passenger headcount further any children below 4 years would be complimentary
  • Timings should be strictly followed, as the activity is time constraint and can be missed.
  • Must pay attention to the guidelines of the instructor before the safari.
  • Safari is not accessible in the month of May,June, July, August and September.
  • Carry thermal bottles as plastic bottles are banned in the northeast.
  • There are dustbins everywhere to throw stuff as the council is very strict about cleanliness and travelers littering may be fined.
  • Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages.
  • Transportation, personal expenses, food or any items of personal nature are not a part of the package.
  • Bright colours like red are not allowed inside the Park. It is recommended to wear green or any other forest suitable colour during the safari.
  • Don’t feed anything to the animals.
  • Camera charges will be extra & paid on the spot.
  • Don’t step out of the jeep.
