The Mugal emperor Humayun’s tomb was commissioned by Humayun’s first wife and then chief consort, empress Bega Begum. A war memorial, an "Arc-de-Triomphe”, located at the heart of Delhi, stands at 138 ft height. Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula is a Mughal mausoleum also referred to as the draft Taj Mahal and a jewel box. Built between 1622-1628, the tomb was commissioned by the empress Nur Jahan wife of Emperor Jahangir for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg.

The tomb serves as the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal, this mausoleum is considered a more delicate and detailed artwork than the Taj Mahal also. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II was a scholar in Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy, commissioned the construction of five astronomical observatories in northern India and the Jaipur structure is the largest of all. These observatories commonly known as Jantar Mantar is a set of 20 uniquely designed buildings or fixed instruments, each with a defined function in astronomical measurements.

The monument was completed in the year 1734 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The observatories consist of 8 yantra or instruments to measure various astronomical calculations.
