It was such an amazing day for all of us. We were 5 people in our group. The boat ride from Havelock Island was really great; we clicked a lot of pictures there. But the best part came when we did snorkeling, although I was doing it for the first time, it was just fantastic. I would say and totally worth the price.
Wow! It was so much fun. Did this thrilling activity with my beloved wife on elephant beach, really loved it. The waters were crystal clear and the underwater marine life was just fantastic. We had experienced divers with us when we did this activity. So many colourful fishes, corals, it was just amazing.
Best place for snorkelling. The view of the whole place was just WOW! Snorkelling was really fun and we saw many colourful fishes and corals, the location was really perfect.

Went to do this snorkelling activity in Elephant beach, just loved it totally. The warm water with the sun made our adventure a lot more thrilling one. Saw many fishes , corals and small turtles as well. We had experienced divers with us during the whole activity.
With this thrilling adventure at Elephant beach our whole Andaman trip became a lot lovelier. We had a great time doing the snorkeling activity. The underwater world was just wow, so many beautiful corals and the small colourful fishes were really amazing. The beach was really stunning as well.
It was just fantastic, never saw the marine life from such a close encounter. Really loved it a lot, the boat service from Havelock jetty was great too, we were provided with life jackets during the trip. The view of the whole place was just break taking. Andaman will always remain special for me.

How to Reach

  • By Air
  • Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport is the nearest one to Andaman, and is well connected to Kolkata and Chennai with a decent number of flights plying between them. If you’re travelling from any other city, you must board a connecting flight to Port Blair from either Chennai or Kolkata. From the airport, a ferry or helicopter ride will land you at Havelock within anywhere between 90 to 120 minutes, depending on the mode of transport.
  • By Ship
  • If you’re seeking new experiences and wish to travel a bit leisurely, travelling by ship is your best option. Despite being a tad bit time consuming (about 50 - 60 hrs), the ship ride to Andaman is a once in a lifetime experience. There are about 4-5 ships that run between Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag to Andaman every month. From here, a ferry or helicopter ride will land you at Havelock within anywhere between 90 to 120 minutes, depending on the mode of transport.

Best Time To Visit

  • Since Andaman is essentially a tropical paradise, there are only two seasons that reign it's realm - summer and monsoon. There is no winter in Andaman. The best season to visit Havelock Island is summer season, when the tropica beauty of the island comes alive, and the crystal clear beaches, glistening under the unwavering gaze of the sun await you. It is also the ideal season to experience water sports and adventures like snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing and glass boat rides.
  • Summer is the season of peak tourism in Havelock Island, so it is advisable to have your bookings dome well in advance. With average temperatures ranging between 27 to 36 degrees Celsius, Havelock is also the perfect respite from the scorching summer heat that cities usually experience.
  • Another great season to soak in the widespread beauty of Havelock Island is ‘winter’, starting from late October to March. Though it isn’t winter in the real sense, the temperatures are quite mild and pleasant, which allows you to indulge in water adventures to your heart’s content. It is also considerably less crowded in winters, affording you just solitude and solace you need. If you’re an explorer or a seeker of offbeat trails, consider a winter trip to Havelock. Otherwise, the best season to visit Havelock remains to be summer.
