No, the internet access is quite poor, especially in remote areas. Better to switch off the internet data of your mobile. You can get satellite internet on some of the dive resorts, but at 300 rupees or more an hour it's extremely expensive. Some of the resorts offering satellite internet are:
• Wild Orchid Resort has a a satellite broadband internet cafe. Though the speeds are not lighting fast, it is definitely better than dialup.

• Pristine Beach Resort has a couple of computers, which every once in a while are connected to the internet.

• Anu's Internet Cafe has two computers set up in a shop just off the main road near Dolphin Resort in village no.3.

Is money exchange facility available in Havelock Island?

The money exchange can be done in the Airport and banks in Port Blair. You can do money exchange before entering to Havelock Island.

Are there any hospitals in Havelock?

There are few clinics and hospitals in Havelock Islands. There has been medical developments in recent times with the growing tourist number. GB Pant Hospital is the leading hospital in Port Blair. Also, there are Primary Health Centre, Community Health Centre, ISM & Homeopathy and few other options are available in Havelock Island and Port Blair.

What should be done in case of any medical emergency in Havelock?

The best thing is to carry medication with you to bring down the health issue. You can then reach any clinic or hospital nearby for further medication. Water sports services have first aids too, if you face any health issue during water activities.

There are few aboriginal tribes in the inside jungles of Havelock Island, but meeting them isn’t a good idea. They are away from human connection, so better not to disturb or enter their zone. This aboriginal tribe majorly belongs to Andaman & Nicobar Islands and are in very few numbers in Havelock Island. Before visiting any island or beach, one should be aware about the presence of such tribes and avoid visiting.
