Who built the Bangalore Palace?

The Palace was built by the Wodeyar dynasty in 1878. Mr John Cameron of Lalbagh was was assigned the crucial task of landscaping the Palace as well as its surroundings. Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar later added a few portions like the twin external staircase, the platform for musicians etc. outside the Durbar Hall.

Photography is allowed at limited capacity inside the Palace. You have to pay a photography fee post which you will be given a token to carry the camera inside the premises for clicking pictures. There are separate charges for still and video photography. You can also opt for phone photography. The cost of phone photography is less than the price of camera photography.
