Factual Information:
Located on the very fringes of Kanha National Park, this is one of the most finest campsites in India. The perfect destination for those who wish to relax in idyllic surroundings and explore the remote forests and villages of Central India, it is also the home of Tara, the much-loved elephant who starred in Mark Shand's best-selling epic Travels on my Elephant.
Stay:
Camp has 14 comfortable double rooms in cottages scattered among trees. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is also a private cottage with a sitting room and a patio overlooking the Camp’s wildlife waterhole.
Activities:
Early morning safaris and game drives have to be the highlight of your stay here. Apart from that, there are also provisions for afternoon safaris, movie nights, story nights and tribal performances.
How to Reach:
BY AIR: There are daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai (SpiceJet and Air India) to Jabalpur, from where it is a 3 hr drive (160 km), and from Nagpur, from where it takes 5.5 hr (240 km).
BY TRAIN: There are daily express trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, to Jabalpur

6 to 6:30 PM: Return to Camp and get refreshed

6 AM: Depart for safari into Kanha National Park
6:30 to 11:30 AM: Explore Kanha – picnic breakfast inside the Park

1 - 1:30 PM: Lunch under the Mohwa tree
2:30 to 5:30 PM: Long walk to explore nearby villages
6 to 6:30 PM: Return to Camp and get refreshed
7:30 to 8 PM: Dinner will be served followed by movie night at Kanha

2:30 to 5:30 PM: Follow Tara the elephant down to the river and help her take her daily bath
6 to 6:30 PM: Return to Camp and get refreshed
7:30 to 8 PM: Dinner will be served followed by story night or tribal dance performance
5:30 AM: Wake-up call and tea/coffee
6 AM: Depart for safari into Kanha National Park
6:30 to 11:30 AM: Explore Kanha – picnic breakfast inside the Park
