About the Rasol Trek: 

Rasol (3,048 m) is a small village high up in the mountains of Parvati Valley and the length of the Rasol trek is 8 km one way. With a mesmerizing view that accompanies you throughout the trek, if you are looking for a village to find some peace, awesome views and a village feel, then Rasol is the right place for you. 

The trail is steep with magnificent views and to breathe in the fresh air and walk through the alpine jungles and small streams as an experience in itself. You will pass through red and pink rhododendron trees as you hike up. Once you reach Rasol you will see old wooden houses and a beautiful temple in the middle of the village. 

Soak in the beauty and witness the magnificent Parvati valley in all its glory. Here you can see the amazing view of Sar Pass and Khali Pass. Rasol is a parallel universe in the splendid morning light, helping you connect with yourself with the sound of silence.Location: Kasol, Himachal Pradesh

About Rasol Trek:

Well maintained alpine tents are provided for stay, each having beds, seating area and electric socket. For a comfortable stay, you will be offered mattresses on beds, pillows and clean linen. The campsite is equipped with all the basic amenities like a restaurant, electrical sockets in the tents, power backup, housekeeping, room service, free parking etc. In the evening enjoy the musical night with a bonfire.

How to Reach?

The campsite in Kasol is around 30 km away from the Bhuntar. Either public or private transportation can be availed to reach the location. Parking space for private vehicles is available.

Arrival in Kasol | Trek to Rasol and Kasol back

Arrive in Kasol and check in to the campsite

Get freshen up and start the trek to the village of Rasol in the Parvati Valley, Trek along the river and reach the scenic location.

After spending a wonderful time in the day, return to your campsite

Enjoy the musical night with bonfire

Day 2
Check Out from campsite

Wake up lazy morning and after having breakfast and head towards your return journey.

Know Before You Go for Rasol Trek

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the trek. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
  • Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
  • Do not encourage trekking during the night unless it is a part of the itinerary and a guide is with you; this might lead to unforeseen mishaps.
  • Avoid using earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • In case, the trek needs to be canceled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of masks is recommended.
  • Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in.
  • Professional guide(s) are available to ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trek.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced drivers especially for hilly terrains available.
  • Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the package.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Rasol trek.
  • Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for the Rasol trek
