Day 1
Arrival at Srinagar; Enjoy a Shikara Ride in Dal Lake
  • On arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle.
  • From the airport, it is a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city.
  • The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum river, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir.
  • Arrive and check-in at Houseboat.
  • In the evening enjoy a Shikara Ride on the famous Dal Lake.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in the Houseboat.
Day 2
Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (52 KM; 2 hrs)
  • In the morning after breakfast proceed for a full-day trip to Gulmarg(Meadow of Flowers) that lies 2730 meters above sea level.
  • Reach a small picturesque market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course with 18 holes.
  • Take the Gondola cable car ride and ascend towards the Affarwat Mountain range. The 8-minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwat peak.
  • From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley.
  • After taking in the enchanting views of the mountains for an hour or so, descend back to Gulmarg base.
  • Experience some horse-riding to the strawberry valley.
  • In the evening drive back to Srinagar.
  • Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 3
Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar.
  • Sonmarg is at 98kms from Srinagar and it will take about 3 hours to reach Sonmarg.
  • The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing that you notice will be the snow-covered mountains that form the backdrop of the town.
  • Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has a few of the loveliest flower collections in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • You may take a pony ride (at your own expense) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year.
  • Return to your hotel in Srinagar by the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4
Srinagar - Pahalgam (96 KM; 3 hrs)
  • After breakfast, you will check out from the Deluxe Houseboat and proceed to Pahalgam (The Valley of Shepherds) on the National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country.
  • You will drive past the Saffron Fields of Pampore, the marvelous Avantipura Ruins, and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the breadbasket of Kashmir.
  • You can even sample a few exotic loaves of bread sold by vendors near the road.
  • You will then switch to the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag.
  • Drive through the pine forests to arrive at Pahalgam which is unarguably one of the most beautiful places on earth.
  • On arrival check in to the hotel in Pahalgam.
  • After reaching Pahalgam you can visit Kashmir Valley, Debian, Baisaran by pony, or can also visit Aru/Betab Valley in Chandanwari by Private Jeep (at your own expense).
  • Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 5
Pahalgam - Srinagar (96 KM; 3 hrs); Marvel at the beauty of the Mughal Gardens
  • After breakfast transfer to Srinagar.
  • On arrival check in to the hotel.
  • Later some half a day of local sightseeing of Srinagar which includes the Mughal Gardens, visiting Chashma Shahi.
  • The garden was developed on the orders of Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan around an abundant spring emerging from the slopes of the Zabarwan Mountains.
  • The waters of the spring are renowned for their cool and rejuvenating qualities; Nishat Bagh was built by Asaf Khan, the brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh was built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan.
  • Built between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating.
  • In the evening enjoy shopping at the Local Market.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6
Transfer to Srinagar Airport
  • After breakfast, you can proceed for checkout from the hotel.
  • Transfer by car to Srinagar Airport for departure to the next destination.
