Upon your arrival in Shimla, meet the representative who will brief you about the tour and transfer you to Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border. Post check-out from your hotel in Chitkul, the driver will take you to Nako, located near the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region. Pass through the charming Kinnaur Valley and take the Indo-Tibet Highway. See where the Spiti and Satluj Rivers meet at Khab Bridge. Arrive at Nako, check in, and start local sightseeing with the driver. Explore the tranquil Nako Monastery and spend the evening by Nako Lake. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4
Nako to Kaza and Local Sightseeing | Walk the Artistically Painted Rooms at Key Monastery

Post check-out, the driver will pick you up and take you to Kaza, a picturesque town in Spiti. Pass Sumdo, and turn right to see Gue Monastery's 500-year-old mummy. Then, head to Tabo Monastery, nicknamed 'Ajanta of the Himalayas'.Continue your journey towards the Pin Valley National Park where you might spot the Snow Leopard. Later, reach Kaza and check-in to your hotel / homestay for an overnight stay.

Nako to Kaza Distance:: 111 Km | Duration: 3 Hours, 20 Minutes

  • The driver will pick you up from the hotel in Nako and take you to Gue Village.

Day 5
Sightseeing Around Kaza | Send out Postcards Stamped at the Top of the World

The driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you on a sightseeing tour around Kaza. Begin by visiting Komik, Asia's highest village. You will then travel down to Hikkim & explore the world's highest post office. Continue to Langza Village and visit the Lang Temple. Next, visit the picturesque Key Monastery & continue towards the charming Kibber Village. Later, visit the Chicham Bridge & return back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kaza.

  • Post sightseeing, the driver will droop you at your hotel / homestay for an overnight stay in Kaza.
Activity: Excursion to Komik, Hikkim, Langza, Key, Kibber and Chicham Bridge
  • First, you will be visiting the highest village in Asia, Komik, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’.
  • You will then proceed to Hikkim for a visit to the world’s highest post office and send postcards to your loved ones.
  • After sending out a postcard, you will be driving to Langza, a village that is home to the ancient Lang Temple which is estimated to be around 1000 years old.
  • Next, ride towards the world-famous Key Monastery and walk past its beautifully painted walls.
  • You will then go farther up the valley to the picturesque village of Kibber to treasure the expanses of beautiful landscapes and immeasurable beauty of the snow-tipped mountains.
  • End your day at the Chicham Bridge which is also Asia's highest bridge.
Day 6
Kaza to Kalpa via Dhankar | Admire the Beautiful Architecture of Dhankar Monastery

Post check-out, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and take back towards Kalpa. On the way, take a left to visit the majestic Dhankar Monastery. Continue your journey towards Kalpa and take a right from Powari towards ReoKong Peo, the main town of Kinnaur district. Reach Kalpa and check-in to your camp / homestay for an overnight stay

Kaza to Kalpa Distance: 208 Km | Duration: 5 Hours, 20 Minutes

  • The driver will pick you up from your hotel / homestay in Kaza and take you to Dhankar Monastery.
  • Post sightseeing, the driver will transfer you to your pre-booked camp for an overnight stay in Kalpa.
Activity: Kaza to Kalpa | Visit Dhankar Monastery En route
  • Retrace your path towards Kalpa in Kinnaur Valley.
  • On your way back, take a small detour towards the left to visit the tiny hamlet of Dhankar and stop by the majestic fort monastery at Dhankar which is situated amongst the rocky spurs and is said to be 1000 years old.
  • If time permits, do take an hour’s climb above the village to visit the stunning turquoise Dhankar Tso or Dhankar Lake to enjoy stunning views of the valley.
  • You will then start your journey further leaving behind Spiti Valley and at Powari take a right towards ReoKong Peo, which is the main town of Kinnaur district from where you will proceed to Kalpa.
Day 7
Kalpa to Shimla and Departure to Delhi | Take Back Memories from the Enchanting Spiti Valley
Shimla

Check out of your camp or homestay in Kalpa and meet the driver, who will transfer you to Shimla. Travel through the slithering roads following the Satluj and passing the rich Deodhar forests to reach the capital city. Conclude the tour as you get dropped off at the Shimla Bus Stop, where you will be boarding a bus back to Delhi.

  • Minimum 2 people are required to book this tour.
  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; it is advisable that you take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the tour. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the tour.
  • Thrillophilia reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like a change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, roadblocks, etc. will not be accommodated in the package cost. No bill will be reimbursed for any missed service/facility.
  • Because of any reason natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed
  • Pay heed to the tour guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound tour.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • GST is applicable to the package cost.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
  • Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
  • All the travellers are requested to carry a copy of their medical certificate (if any) with them.
  • Transportation during the trip would be in Non AC & Non-Heater vehicles. Please wear clothes according to the weather while travelling.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Thrillophilia will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.
  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
  • The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort will be charged at actuals.
