The Rajgir hills, also known as "Rajghara" hills, lie near the city of Rajgir in central regions of the Indian state of Bihar. It is surrounded by five hills named Ratnagiri, Vipalachal, Vaibhagiri, Songiri and Udaygiri. It is an important Buddhist, Hindu and Jain pilgrimage site. The hills consist of two parallel ridges extending around 65 km. At their highest point, the hills rise to an altitude of 388 meters, but most of the hills are around 300 meters high.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Patna; Ancient city - Nalanda sightseeing
Once you arrive at Patna Airport or Railway Station our representative will assist you with your drive to Nalanda

Rajgir is around 95 km from Patna and usually takes 3 hours to reach here

En-route Rajgir visit the famous cultural city of Nalanda

Explore Nalanda University And Nalanda Museum which is said to be the oldest university in the world

Drive from Nalanda to Rajgir which is about 14 km and check-in the hotel

Day 2
Rajgir Trekking
Embark on a 3-hour trail from Lower Station of Ropeway to Gridha Kut and then from Gridha Kut to Ashokan Stupa.

Later visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa situated at the top of the hill of Ratnagiri.

On the way up the Ratnagiri Mountain, the trail goes through lush forest

After crossing the trail you will reach the highest point of the trek where Ashokan Stupa is situated.

Later by using the Ropeway you can go back to the lower station of Ropeway where tea and snacks will be served.

Day 3
Return to Patna | Departure
Today after breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Patna

On arrival at Patna, return to your hometown or next destination with tons of adventurous memories
