  • Day 1 -

    Arrival at Paro

  • Day 2 -

    Hike towards famous Taktsang temple

  • Day 3 -

    Travel to Paro/Thimphu, visit Ta Dzong Museum (with optional hike to Zuri Temple) and traditional handicraft workshops and National Library

  • Day 4 -

    Travel to Thimphu/Mendegang, explore mountain views at Dochu La Pass, reaching quiet hillside guesthouse

  • Day 5 -

    Travel to Trongsa - Wangdiphodrang town, Pele La Pass and Chendibji Chorten

    Begin your town exploration

  • Day 6 -

    Travel to Trongsa/Bumthang - Visit Ta Dzong and statue sculptor

  • Day 7 -

    Visit Bumthang and explore the valley

  • Day 8 -

    Visit Kurje temple complex. Start Trekking to Ngang, past famous temple at Thangbi to "swan temple"

  • Day 9 -

    Hike to Meadow Camp - Cross Phephe La Pass (11,647 feet) into Tang Valley

  • Day 10 -

    Trek to Ugyencholing. Gentle downhill trail to palace and village and well-know yatah weavers

  • Day 11 -

    Trek to Pangshing - Down Tang Valley, past Tang Rimochen temple and Membartsho, the "burning lake"

  • Day 12 -

    Visit Bumthang/Trongsa – day at leisure

  • Day 13 -

    Travel to Thimphu – day at leisure.

  • Day 14 -

    Departure from Paro
