Travel deep into the heart of Swedish Lapland and spend a few days enjoying the unique hospitality of the Bråndön Lodge.

Located overlooking the frozen waters of the Luleå archipelago, the lodge provides the perfect setting for an exhilarating dog sled safari, as well as a chance to enjoy a unique al fresco dinner on the ice.

Continuing the journey by train, you’ll then head deep into the beautiful winter wilderness, to spend a night at Camp Ripan, whose north-facing cabins provide some of the best potential views of the Aurora Borealis in the region.

Then it is on to Abisko National Park, home to the renowned Abisko Sky Station, whose location, high on the slopes of Mount Nuolja, makes it one of the best places on earth to view the incredible spectacle of the Northern Lights.

With a chance to learn from an expert how best to capture these spectacular displays on camera, your adventure then ends in memorable fashion with a stay at the unique Ice Hotel.

Spending your final evening in a room carved from the ice of the Torne River, you can celebrate the finish of your adventure with a drink from the famous Ice Bar.

After breakfast you will be taken over to the nearby kennels to meet your team of huskies.
Once ready, your dog-sled safari sets off at a steady pace, following the forested trails through the pristine countryside before returning to the lodge for a free afternoon.
Dinner is an al fresco affair, set up in a teepee on the frozen ice-pack. With a warming fire and an array of Swedish specialities to enjoy, the evening will hopefully be completed with a view of the Northern Lights.

After a leisurely day enjoying some of the numerous activities available from the lodge, this evening your adventure continues with a snowshoe expedition out into the surrounding countryside.
Away from the lights of the lodge, these landscapes provide the ideal setting for some unforgettable displays of the Northern Lights.
In the company of a knowledgeable guide you will also learn more about life in these harsh winter landscapes, as you enjoy dinner around an open campfire.

Departing by train this morning, your journey takes you deep into the heart of Swedish Lapland today, as you head towards the fell and forest scenery around Kiruna.
A journey of some four and a half hours, on arrival in Kiruna you will then be transferred on to Camp Ripan, where you can enjoy a sumptuous 3-course dinner and a chance to relax in the newly built Aurora Spa.
Enjoying the comforts of the warming pool, the winter landscapes provide a perfect backdrop through the panoramic windows.

Continuing the train journey today, you head next towards the spectacular setting of the Abisko National Park, close to the Norwegian border.
Staying at the Abisko Mountain Lodge, this region is famous for its Northern Lights activity and your transfer to the lodge on arrival will take you through some of the most dramatic scenery imaginable.
Following dinner this evening you will head out with an expert Aurora photographer to enjoy a chance to capture the spectacle on camera.

Heading south after breakfast this morning, your first stop will be at Nutti Sámi Siida, a small museum and cultural exhibit dedicated to the traditions and heritage of the Sámi people.
Moving on from here, your next stop will be a stark contrast to the traditional architecture of the Sámi, as you head towards the unique setting of the Ice Hotel.
Made entirely from the ice and snow of the Torne River, you'll spend your final evening in a room carved from the landscape itself.

Gamla Stan

Dates back to as long back as the 13th century, you can imagine the number of historical structures that may be lined across the region. Ancient medieval alleyways, cobbled streets and archaic architecture surrounds this town.
