About the Namik Glacier Trek: 

The Namik Glacier Trek starts from Munsiyari, located in the Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand. The trek will progress through some of the scenic villages of Gogina and Namik where you will get to spend the nights in well equipped campsites. This Namik Glacier Trek will take you to an elevation of 3600 meters above the sea level and you would be able to explore the glacier stretched over 3 Km. The total duration of the trek would be 9 days and you will be staying at an average temperature range of 5 to 12 degree celsius. Reaching the top of the trek, you will be able to sight the pristine views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Nanda Kot. 

You will be assisted by expert tour guides and navigators during the trekking activity and will be provided with all the necessary gears. Before the start of the trek, you will be provided with all sorts of necessary information and other relaxation measures which might come handy during the activity. The route to the top of the glacier is covered with a wide range of terrains and you will come across many challenges which should be overcomed skillfully. 

Namik Glacier Trek Itinerary

Day 1
Munsiyari - Senar Gad Meadows (7 Km | 3 Hours)

The Namik Glacier Trek would start with your arrival at Munsiyari. On the first day of the trek, you will be covering a distance of 7 km to reach the San Gad Meadows. The trek on the first day will be moderately easy and you can complete the same in 3 hours. You will spend time at a campsite alongside the alluring Senar Gad Meadows. 

Day 2
Senar Gad Meadows - Dhaduk (11 Km | 5 Hours)

On the second day of the Namik Glacier Trek , you will be trekking to Dhaldauk which is one of the prominent places frequented by shepherds and commands. This is relatively an easy trek and you will be able to sight the beautiful Panchachuli Hills on the way. 

Day 3
Dhaldauk - Sudan Khan (7 Km | 3 Hours)

On the third day of the trip, you will be trekking to Sudamkhan which is very much famous for offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. The alluring landscape will captivate you. There will be a camp stay at the Sudamkhan. 

Day 4
Sudam Khan - Hiramani Glacier (9 Km | 4 Hours)

The fourth day of the Namik Glacier Trek will take you to Hiramani Glacier which is surrounded by an alluring environment. Coming over to this place, you will be able to witness the serene views of the Nanda Kot and Nanda Devi Peak. On the fourth day of the trek, you will camp at the edges of the glacier and sight the magical sunrise and sunset. 

Day 5
Hiramani Glacier - Namik Glacier - Sudamkhan (7 Km | 3 Hours)

Starting early in the morning, you will be reaching the majestic Namik Glacier which is situated at an elevation of 3600 meter. The glacier is surrounded by some of the famous mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul Mountain and Nanda Kot. You will be welcomed with enchanting views of the glacier. You will be served dinner at the campsite in Sudamkhan. 

Day 6
Sudamkhan - Namik Village (7 Km | 3 Hours)

On the 6th day of the Namik Glacier Trek, you will be heading out in the direction of Namik Village which is known to be a Bhotia Village. You will come across houses in the village built traditionally with loads of wood carvings. The village is situated close to the Indo Tibetan trade route and has been one of the important centres of trade in the bygone times. You will also get a chance to camp in the Namik Village which will give you insights about the local lifestyle.

Day 7
Namik Village - Gogina (7 Km | 3 Hours)

The 7th day of the trek will take you to Gogina Village which happens to be a small settlement close to the Ramganga Valley. It is a beautiful village that is mainly famous for its traditional houses. You can explore the area and also visit the captivating Kimu Village that is located close to Gogina. 

Day 8
Gogina - Liti (7 Km | 3 Hours)

The day to descend from the trek has come. You will now trek towards Liti. There will be an overnight stay at Liti and you will be served a wide range of local recipes at the campsite. 

Day 9
Liti - Bageshwar - Kathgodam

This is the last day of the trek. You will be starting your onward return journey from Liti to Bageshwar or Kathgodam from where you can begin your homebound journey.
