Nag Tibba trek of the most famous treks in Uttarakhand renowned for its beautiful scenery and panoramic views. You get ready to see big snow-capped mountains lighting up a shade of fiery orange, the Kedarnath peak in the north, Doon valley, and also the snow peaks of Changabang.

How to reach:

Dehradun lies at a distance of around 247 km from Delhi. You can either reach by your own car or by using public transport such as train, bus or air.

The best option to reach Dehradun from Delhi is to catch the overnight Volvo. 

Nearest airport: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport at a distance of 20km from Dehradun. Nearest railway station: Dehradun lies at a distance of around 247 km from Delhi. You can get a train to Dehradun from anywhere in India.

Nag Tibba Winter Trek Itinerary

Day 1
Nag TIbba Winter Trek
  • 7:30 AM- Get picked up from Dehradun Railway Station and drive to Pantwari
  • 11:30 AM- Reach Pantwari and start your trek to Nag Tibba summit. The trail to the Nag Mandir campsite stretches over 5.5 km and will take approximately 4-5 hours to cover.
  • 1:30 PM- Stop on the way for your lunch (Packed Lunch)
  • 2:00 PM- Start your trek again crossing a dense canopy of Oak and Rhododendron forests
  • 4:30 PM- Reach Nag Mandir which is the campsite for the day. The campsite offers panoramic views of a snow-covered Himalayan range at the horizon
  • 5:00 PM- Your camps will be assigned, you may take some rest and freshen up
  • 6:00 PM- Spend time on your own with 360 degrees of view of the Himalayas
  • 7:30 PM to 9:30- Dinner is served at the campsite
  • 9:30 to 11:00 PM- Have a fun time with your loved ones under a million stars and around a bonfire
  • 11:00 PM- Retire for the day and gather your strength for the next day.


Day 2

  • 06:00 AM- Wake up to a mesmerizing sunrise in the mountains and feast on a fulfilling breakfast.
  • 06:30 AM- Begin your trek down the hill enjoying the mesmerizing sunrise views
  • 10:30 AM- Reach Pantwari where your transportation will be ready
  • 02:00 PM- Drop off at Dehradun Railway Station with a bag full of memories to cherish for a lifetime.

  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • All the activities depend upon the weather.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitisation and use of mask recommended.
  • It is recommended to carry season wise clothes and the right kind of shoes for the trek.
  • Please carry a valid ID proof at the time of the activity.
  • Since its difficult to provide all the facilities in the mountains, one must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
  • Bonfire would be dependent on weather conditions.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home. Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
