About the trek:

Kheerganga is one of the unique Himalayan treks in which you are rewarded with natural hot water springs on reaching the summit at almost 10,000 feet. This trek takes you deep into the Parvati Valley by walking alongside the babbling Beas River, ascending through pine and oak forests and traversing the verdant gorge. On the way to the top, you will come across many beautiful waterfalls and a Shiva temple. The snowy Himalayan peaks will accompany you throughout the day.

The one-of-a-kind experience of relaxing in the vistas of snow-capped peaks will remain with you forever as memories. Be it a memorable walk along the sparkling Parvati river or savoring Israeli food at colourful cafes, everything here would be a little more unique.

How to Reach: The trip starts from Delhi or Chandigarh, in a semi sleeper AC bus/tempo traveler to Kasol. Both the cities are well-connected to major parts of the country by air, rail, and road.

Day 1
Arrival in Kasol | Discover the ‘Mini Israel of India’
  • On reaching Bhuntar/Kasol, take a breath of fresh air amidst views of picturesque hills and head to the campsite in kasol with the help of a local transportation by self.
  • En route to Chalal, explore the ‘Little Amsterdam’, the lanes of Kasol lined with vibrant souvenir shops and Israeli cafes on your own
  • After spending a wonderful day in Chalal, get back to your campsite in the evening
  • Enjoy dancing around the bonfire, as you have a scrumptious dinner
  • Overnight stay in Kasol
Day 2
Kasol to Kheerganga via Barshaini | Capture a Whimsical dip in the Natural Hot Water Spring
  • After breakfast, move to the Barshaini at your own expense to start your exciting Kheerganga Trek.
  • Barshaini is a small village near Kasol and the point of confluence of the Parvati and Tosh Rivers
  • In the initial part of this Kheerganga trek, feast your eyes upon picturesque waterfalls like the majestic Rudra Nag, and take a small halt to admire the beauty of the landform
  • Trek for around 14 kms along the gushing Parvati River and pass through the tranquil villages of Kalga and Pulga
  • After reaching the green meadow of Kheerganga, take a refreshing dip in the hot mythical Parvati Kund to wash off the fatigue of the journey
  • Later, enjoy a bonfire near your camp to gather energy for the next day
  • Overnight stay in Camps
Day 3
Kheerganga to Kasol via Barshaini | Descend from the Majestic Land
  • Wake up to a magnificent view of the Himalayan peaks, and prepare for the journey back to Barshaini through the same route you took to reach Kheerganga
  • Reach Barshaini, and board transportation from here to Kasol/Kasol at your own expense
  • From Kasol/Bhuntar, Head back to Delhi and say goodbye to the mountains

Know Before You Go for Kasol Trip and Trek to Kheerganga

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the trek. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the trek.
  • Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.

  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
